Carolyn Brennan makes glass beads and combines them into necklaces, bangles, earrings and rings. The beads are created using a dual fuel torch (propane and oxygen) and rods of coloured glass. The molten glass is wound around mandrels dripped in bead release. Once finished, the beads are placed into a kiln to anneal. Annealing makes the beads tough and durable.
